How To Apply Lily & Fox Pedicure Wraps
By now you may have noticed that Lily & Fox nail wraps give you a salon-worthy manicure at home with almost no effort - and today the same quick, simple routine comes to your toes too!
Each wrap sticks on by itself, and no heat is needed to set it.
Putting on our pedi wraps works much like our mani sets – really simple! 😉
First wash your feet, pick the best fit for each toenail, press the wrap on, and smooth down the edges. Then snip or file off whatever hangs over the tip, and you're finished!
Occasionally a single wrap can be stretched across a few different toes!
Thanks to our patented ultra shiny finish, your toes will look gorgeous with no need for a top coat!).
Should you want your wraps to hold up for 3-4 weeks instead of the usual 1-2, a top coat can be added (though it is entirely up to you).

**These wraps go over every kind of nail surface: natural nails, ordinary lacquer, gel, Shellac, SNS, as well as acrylics.
1. Start with clean Feet
-
Lotion, soap residue, or other products on the skin can stop the wraps from bonding to the nail – (and that goes for the natural oils found on your skin and nails, too!)
-
Rinse them briefly, or wipe each nail with an alcohol pad until it is spotless.
-
Another option is to apply right after a shower, when you feel fresh!

2. Pick the best fit
-
Hunting for a perfect fit can drag on and on!
-
That's the reason every order comes with AT LEAST 28 nail wraps!
-
When you've found the sizes that suit your toes, lift off the transparent Plastic Cover.
3. Lift The Wrap Off Its Backing Sheet
-
Gently peel the wrap you picked away from the sheet, and check which direction the artwork should point.
-
Keep the sticky side away from any surface until it reaches your nail, so it stays as tacky as can be!
-
Even so, our wraps are made with clever technology that allows you to press them on, lift them, and press again (without losing their grip!) - handy if you decide to shift one on your nail (don't worry, we do that as well).
4. Set the wrap by the cuticle, then press outward from that spot
-
Line up the base of the wrap just next to your cuticle, without covering it.
-
Work in small circles to press and smooth it down; begin by the cuticle, press along one side, move over the nail's top edge, and finish by going back along the opposite side.
-
A snug seal at the tip with zero creases is what gives your pedicure a flawless look and keeps it going for as long as you like.

**Spot a small crease? Simply lift and gently stretch the wrap to flatten it out - see our advice further down!)
6. Trim away the extra
-
Take the nail file from your kit and shave off the overhanging length (at times it helps to snip it with scissors beforehand, then finish the shape with the file).
-
What matters here is filing in one direction only: downward.
-
Sawing from side to side or pushing upward keeps the wrap from bonding to the nail and lets grit and dust creep beneath it (which damages the glue, so the tips lift sooner and the wraps wear out faster).

-
After you have gone around the whole tip, the leftover bit of wrap should peel off with a light pull (if it resists, give it a few more downward passes!).
-
That's all there is to it!

**Any rough edges still sticking out can be softened using the pink face of the file (the finer grit). Remember to stroke downward only! 😉
Optional: Top Coat
-
Right from the package, Lily & Fox wraps already have a high shine.
-
For extra sparkle, or for wear beyond 1-2 weeks, go ahead and add a top coat.
-
Pro tip: when using a top coat, swipe it over the very edge of the tip so the wrap bonds to your nail more securely!

PS: Our personal favorites are the Top Coat from Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
and the Top Coat by Essie (Platinum Grade Finish) 😊
TIPS: Ways to keep our nail wraps lasting
After trying the wraps out ourselves and hearing from shoppers, we have collected plenty of pointers to help your Lily & Fox wraps stay put for the longest time possible!
Tip #1 - Reach for Essie Platinum Grade Finish, or alternatively Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, as your top coat (just like we said earlier!)
-
Another favorite polish is fine as well, but steer clear of fast- drying formulas since they dry out your natural nails sooner - and nobody wants that!
-
A top coat is a real helper too, doubling wear time, taking it from 1-2 weeks up to 3-4 weeks 💅
Tip #2 - Brush on a base coat prior to the wraps so your nails stay protected and the wraps grip better
-
It can be a good fix for naturally greasy nail beds, too.
-
Heads up: don't substitute a top coat for the base coat, since it is heavier and needs more time to set.
-
For a base layer, our picks are Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, along with Orly Bonder Rubberized Base Coat.
Tip #3 - Ideally hold off for six hours minimum before soaking your Feet in hot water, giving the wraps time to bond well for the long haul
-
Heat can weaken the grip of the glue when wraps meet it too soon, and then they might lift sooner!
-
Keep an eye on water temperature, and your wraps will look flawless from day one!
Tip #4 - A Little Bonus Care
-
Some fans give their wraps extra love by choosing lukewarm water over scalding hot when they shower.
-
A few sunscreens share ingredients with certain polish removers. Think about shielding your nails with a top coat before you put sunscreen on.
-
That small added step goes a long way toward keeping your wraps looking flawless and wearing for ages!
