Ingredients
Putting beauty products on your body can feel unsettling if the ingredient list means nothing to you, so we have broken down what goes into our nail wraps. That way you can shop Lily & Fox Nail Polish Wraps with confidence!
Every component in our wraps was hand-picked by our chemists, giving our exclusive formula the best possible performance!
Q: Is the wrap material actual nail polish?
Yes - each strip is genuine polish. It is real nail polish layered on a backing sheet, which keeps your nails from being harmed. Maybe other nail products hurt your nails before, or perhaps your nails are sensitive - either way, give our wraps a go! We created them to be entirely safe for use!
Q: Do Your Wraps Count As Vegan, Non-Toxic And Cruelty-Free?
Absolutely - all three! We proudly confirm that every ingredient we use is 100% vegan, 10-free plus never tested on animals! Ethical practices guide how we produce our nail wraps 😁
Q: What goes into our wraps?
We explain each one in plain, everyday terms!
| Ingredient | What does it do? |
|---|---|
| Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer | It gives the wraps their stretch and bounce, helping them wear for ages while hugging the nail shape perfectly. |
| Hydrogenated Poly (C6-20 Olefin) | You will find it all the time in haircare, skincare and sunscreen (likely in many items sitting in your bathroom cabinet right now!). |
| N-Butyl Acetate | A compound occurring naturally in fruit, red apples above all! It contributes to the fruity flavor and sweetness. In nail wraps it acts as a solvent. Food makers also add it to flavor sweets, ice cream, cheese and baked goods (so it is edible). |
| Polyacrylic acid | Diapers rely on it for a soft, flexible feel. Gentle enough for babies, and gentle on your nails too! |
| Ethyl Acetate | A clear liquid with a sugary scent, found in alcoholic drinks, in the decaffeinating of tea and coffee, and in adhesives and nail polishes. |
| Nitrocellulose | It shields the nail while still letting it breathe. Many kinds of nail polish rely heavily on it. |
| Dipentaerythrityl Hexaacrylate | One of the key reasons our wraps stay put for 2-4 weeks! It keeps them bendy and adhesive on the nail, then lets them set hard, resisting scratches and moisture. |
| Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate | Soft contact lenses are made with this very same substance – so it is gentle on eyes and nails alike! |
| Hydroxycyclohexyl Phenyl Ketone | It lets the wraps cure firmly on the nail surface, and also means they come off later without harming your nails. |
| Bis-Trimethylbenzoyl Phenylphosphine Oxide | Nail sculpting products use it, so here it helps the wraps settle into the right form. |
